Only about 20 minutes late we arrived at the beautifully appointed campus of our exchange school. Students were allocated their classes and shuffled bashfully in amongst their gallic peers – who, incidentally, stood immediately when another teacher entered the room.

Alors, nous sommes bien arrivés à Châtenay et c’est une très jolie ville avec des petits magasins intéressant; Les profs s’amusent très bien et ça c’est le plus important! Demain on va à Versailles ensemble et il fait du soleil! Quelle chance, au revoir!

Nice to hear that everything is going well. The weather here in ‘blighty’ is absoultley gorgeous.
Please tell Mr Curtis that Mr Whiting has put his car on e-bay. So far he has had an offer of £10.50 for the tyres.
